About the Author
S. Christian Albright received his B.S. degree in mathematics from Stanford in 1968 and his Ph.D. in operations research from Stanford in 1972. Since then, he has been teaching in the Operations and Decision Technologies Department in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has taught courses in management science, computer simulation, and statistics to all levels of business students: undergraduates, MBAs, and doctoral students. His current interest is in spreadsheet modeling, including development of VBA applications in Excel(R). Dr. Albright has published more than 20 articles in leading operations research journals in the area of applied probability. He has also published a number of successful textbooks, including DATA ANALYSIS AND DECISION MAKING, DATA ANALYSIS FOR MANAGERS, and SPREADSHEET MODELING AND APPLICATIONS.

About the Author
Jonathan Murphy is Lecturer in International Management and Organizational Analysis at Cardiff University, Wales, UK. He has combined academic study of management with professional practice in the areas of democracy and good governance. Jonathan is author of The World Bank and Global Managerialism as well as numerous articles and book chapters on international management, non-profit sector, and international development issues. He is Associate Editor of Critical Perspectives on International Business, the first international management journal with an explicitly critical focus. He holds a doctorate in management from the Judge Business School at Cambridge University, UK. Hugh Willmott is Research Professor at the Cardiff Business School. He has previously held appointments at the Universities of Cambridge, Manchester and Aston, and visiting appointments at the Universities of Copenhagen, Lund and Cranfield. His books include Making Quality Critical, The Re-engineering Revolution, Managing Knowledge, Management Lives, Studying Management Critically and Fragmenting Work. Richard L. Daft, Ph.D., is the Brownlee O. Currey, Jr., Professor of Management in the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Professor Daft specializes in the study of organization theory and leadership. Dr. Daft is a Fellow of the Academy of Management and has served on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, and Journal of Management Education. Peter J. Dowling (Ph.D, The Flinders University of South Australia) is a Professor of Human Resource Management at La Trobe University. He has co-authored a number of books and has written or co-authored over seventy journal articles and book chapters. He serves on the editorial boards of International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of World Business, Management International Review, Journal of International Management, Thunderbird International Business Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Management & Organization and ZfPGerman Journal of Human Resource Research. Peter is President of the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM), a Vice-President of the Australia & New Zealand International Business Academy, a Life Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute and a Senior Research Affiliate of the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies at Cornell University. Former roles include past National Vice-President of the Australian Human Resources Institute and editor of Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources (1987-1996). Marion Festing is Professor of Human Resource Management and Intercultural Leadership at ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Berlin, Germany. He also has been a visiting lecturer at the FHS – Hochschule Fur Technik, Wirtschaft und Soziale Arbeit, St. Gallen in Switzerland, and a visiting professor of international management at the University of Pecs in Hungary. Dr. Engle is a national and regional professional member of World at Work (formerly the American Compensation Association) and the Society for Human Resource Management, as well as a longtime member of the U.S. Academy of Management. His research interests are in the topic areas of compensation theory and practices, leadership and organizational change, job analysis, managerial competencies, and organizational design — particularly their impact on multinational firms. Published in regional, national, and international academic journals, Dr. Engle has presented academic papers at conferences in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Slovenia, Spain, and the United Kingdom. He also has consulted for regional firms and presented professional seminars in the areas of performance appraisal systems, executive team building, strategically responsive compensation systems, intercultural management issues and organizational change. He received his D.B.A. from the University of Kentucky.
